Who am I?

Hello!

You have found the about me page.

I am Siobhan Stollznow.

I am a 30-year-old woman who enjoys knitting and crocheting. I enjoy gardening as well in my free time and working with the Northern Beachers council to set up a community garden in Belrose.

I have (almost) an undergraduate in Arts majoring in Japanese, a Media degree majoring in Radio and am currently undertaking my Masters in Primary Teaching (one semester left).

While I was living in South Korea, I realised it was hard to form a community as an expat, and thus, once a month, I invited friends around to do some form of crafting. Upon returning to Australia, I wanted to keep the year long tradition continuing, by hosting it monthly at my house.

I learnt there was a need for locals that were knitters/crocheters etc, to be part of the community and thus extended this welcome to everyone in the Northern Beaches. As of October 2024, there are 130 members in our Facebook group, with 10-15 coming to the monthly meetup. We see new and familiar faces at every event and welcome everyone with a smile that does.

That brings us to today, a festival on the 18th of January to celebrate this amazing community.

The two photos below are of me and my cats. I am super passionate about what I love and do - so much so that I worked 4 jobs over one summer break to help pay for my cats to return home to Australia with me. I spent over a year organising all their vaccines, vet trips, 10 day quarantine. The process was lengthy and expensive ($15000 for the two cats together) but I cherish every moment with them. DO NOT hesitate to ask me about them. I will bombard you with photos and videos (and maybe the ginger cat will say hello).
